Double Glazed or Normal Glass?

Here at Windows by Geoff Case, we do lots of single and double glazed windows around Geelong and the Surf Coast area. Both styles are very popular however, double glazing has become a lot more common in recent years for people to choose. Below we have listed a few positives and negatives about each, to help you make your decision a bit easier.

Double Glazed

• Two panes of glass separated by an air gap
• Energy-efficient – reduces heat loss and gain
• Minimise noise
• Reduces unwanted heat from coming in
• Reduces reliance on heaters and air cons
• More expensive than single glazed

Single glazed

• One pane of glass
• Allows hot and cold temperatures to pass-through easily
• Cheaper than double glazed
